Masters of Our “Fate”
My life, so far, has been very challenging. I’ve been through so many periods of positive
and negative events. I have seen all kinds of people personality traits. Through all that
I have experienced, I have never given in to the notion of fate. Not once have I believed
in it. Fate is defined as a force that pre-plans and/or events in life. In my definition,
it is nothing more than a man-made excuse for people who are too lazy to do or try something
or for people who rather limit themselves to doing only certain things than trying to exceed
the limits. Believers in fate are simply cowards hiding from putting forth the effort and hard
work it takes to complete tasks and survive in this world.
I believe that we are the masters of our own destiny and that we have the power to create
our own path in life. As a Christian, I know that God has complete power of us as people
and everything else, but yet, He allows us to construct our own path and gives us judgment
based on the decisions we make. I believe that He is the closest to fate as we will get.
