We kicked off our debut performance at one of the East Coast's most rockin' parties...Hampshire Halloween!!! Also known as 'Trip or Treat,' the event was perfect for an enthusiastic group of musicians and a truly kickass light operator to the stage and introduce themselves right (feat. the 'Welcome Back to Hampshire' rap). A second show was held at the Red Barn on campus in late November, and we surely turned out a crowd. As many can confirm, our set was delayed due to extreme technical difficulties, as the had keyboard shut out completely. But what do we do in situations like this? We improvise!!! Andrew quickly transferred his keyboard part onto a guitar (a truly easy task for a brilliant musician) and we played our set with a few similar last minute alterations...of course, the keyboard malfunction did not interupt the introduction of yet another suprise hip hop song in the set. We recently headlined a killer show in the saga dining commons! Featuring guests Ethan Ames and Monopop we transformed the back room into anything but your average eatery. We had strobelights, loud music, soft music, footy pajamas with buttflaps and topless danceparties. Coming up we have a show at The Yellow Sofa in Northampton, and all should come from far and wide. But know this...expect the unexpected, and certainly don't expect what you have seen already from Lights With Music! Our next definite bookings this year are going to be loceted at the Hampshire College Tavern...The first will take place on March 5th and May 7th. We will be opening on the 5th and headlining on the 7th. More information will be posted as it becomes available. |
