Chandra Hughes: Producer Portfolio

  • Guardian Enmity
  • Position: Voice Acting Director; Advisor

Guardian Enmity is Eddie Guzman's upcoming visual novel. As his voice acting director, I was responsible for casting -- scouting voice actors for characters and holding a casting call -- as well as directing voice actor talent. I was in direct contact with Eddie, keeping him updated on the casting process, and managed all communications with potential talent. I also oversaw and advised on artwork, programming, music and budget. I also advised on event scheduling and Kickstarter, and assisted Eddie on miscellaneous tasks.

    Synopsis:

'Guardian Enmity' is a story about a group of people trying to stop hackers from releasing malicious software into a worldwide popular game. This malicious software can steal people's and organizations' private information and could even corrupt the entire network. Of course, things aren't always as black and white as they seem, and the protagonist learn there's more to the situation than they are led to believe.

  • Rising Angels: Fates
  • Position: Voice Acting Director

Rising Angels: Fate is Anthony Lindsey's recent visual novel. As his voice acting director, I was responsible for casting -- scouting voice actors for characters and holding a casting call -- as well as directing voice actor talent. I was in direct contact with Anthony, keeping him updated on the casting process, and managed all communications with potential talent.

    Synopsis:

Possessing the crystal that almost claimed the lives of the brave crew of the KSS Nimross, Special Investigations and Tactics Officer Natalie Puccile is on the run from those who once worked alongside. With nothing but the scraps of information from her previous investigation, Natalie is forced to scour the galaxy for hints of the truth, seeking the support of those who trust her. But with threats closing in from all sides, will her skills as an investigator and the faith of the loyal few be enough to prevent the truth and safety of the galaxy from disappearing into nothingness?

  • Voiceiyuu Entertainment
  • Position: Head of Publicity

I was the head of publicity for Voiceiyuu Entertainment, a talent agency. I managed the company's website, frequently uploading new talent samples. I used Excel documents to organize new talent. I was in close communication with the head of human resources who provided me with new samples. I also supervised the company's Facebook and YouTube accounts. Posts and uploads were subject to my approval.

Voiceiyuu Entertainment is an open group where both aspiring and professional dubbers can showcase their talents for others to enjoy while expressing their interest in anime.

  • Fat Black and Ugly
  • Position: Assistant Production Manager

As the assistant production manager for Eshe Shukura's DIV III play, Fat Black and Ugly, I reported directly to the producer, assisting her in facilitating weekly meetings, check ins, and coordinating cast and crew events.

    Synopsis:

Growing up fat isn't an uncommon story. It isn't some new phenomenon. Bodies have been and will keep growing and growing. People will continue to feel ashamed of the bodies they exist in. Their bodies are talked about, but it rare to hear their stories. We hear from the fat positive, acceptance, and liberation movements. These movements don't always include enough voices and too often forget about fat people of color. The health industry and institutions shame fat bodies. This play is dedicated to their silence. My story is uniquely my own. I am speaking from a community, but not for the community. I am speaking as a black, queer fat woman, who often feels ugly.
